Albion
Albion Division is the ship’s guard.
Albion is named after the Albion subdivision of Maple Ridge; however, it currently shares its name with HMS Albion, an amphibious assault ship. Following the theme of the majority of our divisions, it is also named after an aircraft carrier, HMS Albion of the Centaur class from the early Cold War era. The word “Albion” itself is the oldest known name of the island of Great Britain.
Battle honours of HMS Albion:
Algiers 1816
Navarino 1827
Crimea 1854-5
Dardanelles 1915
Fortiter, Fideliter, Feliciter
“Boldly, Faithfully, Successfully”
